About Our Chapter

It is such a joy to represent Delta Delta Delta as the Beta Tau chapter at Baylor University. On campus, we strive for academic excellence and actively participate in the Baylor community through activities like intramurals, float, and Sing. One of our proudest achievements is maintaining the highest GPA for over 39 years. Recently, we were honored with Baylor's Chapter of the Year award in 2024. Additionally, our shared commitment to supporting St. Jude brings us together. We are grateful to be consistently among the top fundraising Tri Delta chapters and the leading fundraising Greek chapter at Baylor.

Our Motto & Values

Going through recruitment, I was drawn to Tri Delta because of their motto: “let us steadfastly love one another.” I was looking for community centered around continuous and relentless love for one another, and it’s been the greatest blessing to have received this love for the past three years. My sisters love me when I’m at the lowest points and the highest points, and they always remind me of my worth and true identity. I have grown in steadfast love myself through surrounding myself with such amazing examples of love. I also love how our motto fits directly into our values - you cannot have truth, self-sacrifice, or friendship without having steadfast love. Love speaks the truth because that is the kind thing to do to help keep one another accountable. Love is self-sacrificial because it values the other person over yourself. Love is friendship because love is the basis of true, deep friendship. I have seen my relationships grow in and outside of Tri Delta because my sisters have taught me how to live in and through our values. I am forever grateful to be a part of an organization that values love above all else!

Greek Letters

Tri Delta’s Greek letters signify special meanings to all Tri Delta members who are bound together by bonds of sisterhood.

The Dolphin

Recognized as a good omen by the ancient Greeks, the dolphin is a symbol of clear skies and smooth sailing. It symbolizes rebirth, friendship and leadership. In Tri Delta, the dolphin has a particular significance for Fraternity leaders.

Our Colors

The colors are blue, gold and silver. Green is also a significant color since it represents the union of three colors.

About our Events

Our chapter is blessed with a vibrant calendar full of exciting social events that further strengthen the bonds of our sisterhood each year. I’m excited to share that we’ll be hosting our traditional events, Crush and Semi-Formal, to kick off the fall semester! We’re also looking forward to our beloved Country Christmas event, where we’ll enjoy a night of line dancing and Christmas festivities with our sisters and their dates. This year, I’m particularly thrilled about bringing back the Date Dash Events, which offer spontaneous outings that deepen connections both within and outside the Beta Tau chapter. The excitement continues in the Spring semester as we proudly celebrate our new sisters at the New Member Dance, and with Take a Date, we have the opportunity to connect with others on campus and share fond memories together. We cap off each year with elegance at our Stars and Crescent Formal, celebrating the sisterhood we love so dearly. Each of these events plays a crucial role in fostering lasting friendships and creating unforgettable memories at Beta Tau. It has already been such an honor to serve in this position and I am looking forward to the year ahead!

Wellness

The Wellness Committee is dedicated to promoting the physical, mental, and emotional health of each and every Tri Delta. We remind our members to take care of themselves with our weekly wellness tips, and through monthly Wellness Workshops, we give our sisters the chance to connect with each other while supporting their own well-being. From hikes at Cameron Park to presentations from medical professionals, we aim to address every struggle a college student may be facing in maintaining their health holistically. As a part of the Risk Management team I serve as the primary, confidential point of contact for any mental health concerns for the women of our chapter. Balancing college and sorority life can be hard, so the Wellness Committee works to remind Beta Tau that taking care of yourself is important, both for you and your community!
